The Transistorized Ignition System is offered in a kit. If you have a soldering iron and some solder, you can assemble the kit in less than an hour. Cost of the Kit is under $ 20.00 US.

You can order the kit on-line or via land line from Techamerica at http://www.techamerica.com. Go to the catalog section. The Techamerica catalog number for the kit is 990-0004. Techamerica is very responsive and will ship any order - large or small - in a hurry!

Alternative resistor arrangements are given at the Vellman site for 6 Volt DC systems. If you have an 8 Volt DC system like the EWE BOAT, e-mail me and I will tell you what alternative resistor arrangements are required.

In response to the numerous requests for this ignition system, IT IS FOR NEGATIVE GROUND SYSTEMS ONLY. Sorry folks, Vellman indicated that this system is not available for positive ground systems. (Too bad or I would put one on my Model "A" Ford!)
